Two years of on and off recording has had a clear effect on the latest and third record offering from The Fumes with Bloodless being a truly mixed bag.

Though the ripping aggression and gritty blues riffs of Jazz and Why still sound like they're playing from the heart of the band, the rest of the record feels undirected and incohesive. Be A Friend and Annihilation are a bold experiment in instrumentation and melody changes for a band typically locked in blues-rock however they simply don't stack up to tracks coming from the record's obvious strengths.
