Album Review: The Controllers - Animals

Let’s be honest; if you’re reading this review because you’re hanging out for another heavy, stomping, emo rock-punk record, with immaculately deceptive production that straddles the line between hi-fi and lo-fi just enough to sound cool, don’t look at the score – buy the record!

Animals, the album, led by the restless guitar and loose vocal work of Nina Fell In Love and bookended with Drunk Punk Funk’s chugging bass and raspy half-screams, is content to sit comfortably amongst its emo peers’ releases. This isn’t for “giving it a go”; you’re in or you’re out.
