Album Review: The Apache Relay - The Apache Relay

Nostalgia is a saturated market, and with no shortage of bands ready to lay claim to the '90s it's refreshing as hell to hear a band taking their influences back a few more decades. Soaking up the sun of laid-back coastal vibes and rolling over in late '60s harmonies and overdubs, The Apache Relay's new self-titled album is the coolest cucumber in the store. The sound overall is surprisingly heavy, creating a heady dream-like quality that seems to evaporate, condense and pour out like a summer storm captured in song.
