With so long to write songs and hone their craft, the Manchester group are indeed ready to take on the world. With jangly guitars, a driven rhythm section and lead singer Matthew Healy's pleading voice, it's a combination that has worked for other bands and once again proves a winning formula. From dark verses to soaring choruses, The 1975 doesn't get any points for originality, but is fuelled with undeniable passion and artistic vision.
