Album Review: Susan Boyle - Home For Christmas

Coming to a Woolworths PA system near you.

More Susan Boyle Susan Boyle

I like Susan Boyle, I really do. She reminds me of an old aunty who would give you biscuits when you came over, and the strength of her voice is undeniable. Unfortunately, that doesn't eradicate any of the cheese from this album. Beginning with an entirely inexplicable Come All Ye Fathful between Suze and Elvis (yes, Elvis), it dips its toe into all the stock-standard Chrissy tracks. A lot of the orchestration is immense, and Boyle's voice is clear and clean, but it's all just too samey. Coming to a Woolworths PA system near you.
