Starting with the spacious chimes of Cool Memories, the first thing of note is the prominent vocals of Esther Edquist, offering a sombre yet arresting timbre not far removed from Everything But The Girl’s Tracey Thorn. Kieran Hegarty’s watery guitar lines continue to mesmerise, while the melding of the organic and live with the simple percolation of synthesised sounds mesh stunningly into a languid stroll through the tremulous solemnity of maturity.
