There’s really only one answer to “Would you like a HABITS' remix with that?” and that answer is, OK SURE. To celebrate the release of Habits’ Ugly Cry on vinyl, if you preorder now, you’ll get Ok Sure’s slick new remix of Habits’ ‘Gerger’.
Ok Sure has lent her downtempo touch to one of the standout tracks off of Habit’s April release, ‘Ugly Cry’. Ok Sure works her dark electronica magic, giving ‘Gerger’ a classic yet dark rework, streamlining the track into a sophisticated and thumping club-ready anthem. Utilising ‘Gerger’s’ drawn out wails, Ok Sure echoes them throughout the remix over a progressive industrial beat, shirking Habits' usual eclectic collection of sounds. 'Gerger', as with most Habits tracks, is a rich soundscape full of incredibly textural and exciting sounds, ripe for the picking. The stripped away track, however, is no let down – it’s a triumphant club tune, ready to be the thump you need in a night.
Ok Sure is also off the back of her latest release, 'Modus' - an atmospheric, complex break-beat inspired track that has critics reeling. Ok Sure's signature brand of dark and developing beats have long set her apart, and 'Modus' is only the first taste of her upcoming EP expected in early 2017.
Habits’ latest remix isn’t the only great news for the duo, recently nominated in the Inaugural National Music Awards for Live Act of the Year. Habits will also play next years Golden Plains and Gaytimes Festival however, to tide you over before then – they are going on tour with the legendary PEACHES.
