From Burton’s achingly smooth vocal, to the gentle production, to the effortlessly open songwriting, Don’t Let The World See Your Love is like slipping into a warm bath. Sometimes it’s a bath of sadness, but what’s country music without a tug or two on the heartstrings? A fine example of the Americana genre; no real surprises but plenty to enjoy on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Blessed Sun and A Body Is All She Ever Let Me Hold in particular are stand-out tracks.
