Album Review: Snakadaktal - The Sun II

New original track, East Of Here trickles and creeps into something soft but slightly ethereal. However it doesn't overwhelm, almost too nice, as is the radio mix of single/title track. The remixes on this EP actually craft more interesting songs out of Snakadaktal's inoffensive, pretty tunes, taking their dreamy pop sensibilities to new levels and really enhance their warmly-timbred vocals. For instance, Just Kiddin's remix of The Sun II has a stronger heartbeat than the original, while Fracture's take on Hung On Tight is particularly moody; brooding and pulsating towards a glittering conclusion.
