New Music: Kagu - Human
Kagu’s second single is an exciting step-up from Shadow Of The Wind.. Where Shadow Of The Wind was a cut of dreamy of electronica with an apt music video to boot Sean Heathcliffe’s second single Human is a huge step-up in energy and direction. Indeed, to balance calming moods in an EP with hungry drum lines and reverb-laced vocals is a tricky one but it also means that Heathcliffe won’t be boxed into one niche. That isn’t to say that Human is a roaring garbage rock crusher of tune but it has a restless energy that makes you want more. Providing a perfect compliment to Shadow Of The Wind; the track that satiates this hunger. Follow Kagu: FACEBOOK | SOUNDCLOUD | TWITTER

Video: Kagu - Shadow Of The Wind
A beautiful debut gets an equally beautiful - and odd - video clip.. Early December last year saw the announcement of a new project from ex-Snakadaktal member Sean Heathcliff called Kagu, with a stunning first single in Shadow Of The Wind. At the time it was revealed since Snakadaktal's split Heathcliff had been immersing himself in the new project, taking ideas from daydreams and thoughts that will eventually lead to his debut EP release some time this year. Keeping our interest at peak levels, he's just released a melancholic video clip that is a somewhat oddly perfect accompaniment to Shadow Of The Wind. Enjoy it below, and keep your eyes peeled for one of our most-anticipated releases of 2015. Follow Kagu: FACEBOOK | SOUNDCLOUD | TWITTER

New Music: Kagu - Shadow Of The Wind
Forsaking the dream aspects of Snakadaktal, Sean Heathcliffe's new project, Kagu sees a push towards singer-songwriter.. Just about any site that is going to post Sean Heathcliffe's newest project, Kagu, is going to reference the sudden break-up of Snakdaktal earlier this year: Post by Snakadaktal   Furthermore, it'll see many comparisons drawn between Heathcliffe and Snakadaktal but in reality the two projects differ. Kagu represents Heathcliffe moving away from the dream elements in place of a singer-songwriter approach as can be seen in Shadow Of The Wind. And given this debut release, Kagu has already stamped itself as a project to keep an eye on. Follow Kagu: FACEBOOK

Hopium - Dreamers feat. Phoebe Lou
Melbourne electronica duo Hopium enlist Snakadaktal's frontwoman for a beautiful new single.. Earlier this year we featured the first single from Melbourne outfit Hopium - called Cut it came complete with a visually stunning video clip and brooding, post-industrial/darkwave beats, which had us rather excited (check it HERE). This excitement has proved justified with the recent release of their follow-up single - Dreamers, featuring Phoebe Lou, former frontlady of Snakadaktal (RIP). They've proved a perfect match, with Phoebe's spoken word parts reminiscent of Before The Dawn Heals Us-era M83, and on-point production from Hopium themselves. Dreamers hit number 2 on Hypemachine last week and has already been added to full rotation on triple j, so one gets the feeling this is only the beginning. Album Review: Snakadaktal - The Sun II
"The remixes on this EP actually craft more interesting songs out of Snakadaktal’s inoffensive, pretty tunes, taking their dreamy pop sensibilities to new levels and really enhance their warmly-timbred vocals."
