The songs here are ribald darts reeking of libidinous innuendos and outlandish posing, pre-punk glam genre a little too over the top for record companies at the time so John “Smokey” Condon remained relatively unknown, only now being appreciated.
With songs like Piss Slave and Leather you get the point. In the late ‘70s they filled that gap between glam and punk so fell between the cracks. If you want to join the dots between The Stooges, David Bowie and perhaps The Pistols then listen to this unique artist in all his bizarre glory.
