"Kudos to this UK band for somehow managing to combine reggae and punk, two pretty differing axes on the music spectrum, to create an oddly catchy but slightly confusing album."

More Skindred More Skindred

When they say opposites attract, did they also mean music genres? Kudos to this UK band for somehow managing to combine reggae and punk, two pretty differing axes on the music spectrum, to create an oddly catchy but slightly confusing album.
Lead singer Benji Webbe sings with a Jamaican accent while digging deep into the gravelly, shouting singing style of punk music. Simultaneously, the band has infused layers of dubstep and samples along with catchy reggae bass beats, and the squealing overdrive of guitars.
The entire album has a strange mix of intense yet chilled out tracks, leaving you contemplating whether to feel angst or to spread the love.
