"Noodly guitars, simple bass lines, twangy strums and that lo-fi vibe still dominate throughout."

More Skegss More Skegss

Byron Bay trio Skegss found a solid launching pad in their 2015 Splendour In The Grass Unearthed win, making the most of their time in the spotlight and garnering a deal with Dune Rats' label as a sweet little bonus.

A little bit of success has gone a long way in honing their playful surf-punk, but thankfully not so much that it's not still a bit rough around the edges. Noodly guitars, simple bass lines, twangy strums and that lo-fi vibe still dominate throughout, allowing frontman Ben Bograil's nasally, unaffected drawls to underline the everyman struggles of hitting the snooze in My Face, and battling wanderlust in New York California.
