"All the more death metal, unapologetic in its ferocity, ridiculousness and insanity"
Yup, it’s a Six Feet Under record.
Chris Barnes is growling about murder and the leads are a knuckle-dragging good time. Where Crypt Of The Devil deviates from other Six Feet Under albums is the rhythm section, replaced by members of Cannabis Corpse, bringing the record more in line with Barnes’ past. What’s more over-the-top obnoxious than teaming up with members of a band that tributes your old band? Nothing! That’s what makes this all the more death metal, unapologetic in its ferocity, ridiculousness and insanity. Fans wouldn’t have it any other way.
