Album Review: Sick Puppies - Connect

They’ve got something to say, and say it best loud.

It's almost 15 years since the barely out of school Sick Puppies emerged via triple j's Unearthed with their supremely confident debut, Welcome To The Real World. Three albums later, they're back with Connect, a clear step forward that never loses sight of where they came from. The riffs are as fat as ever, their disgruntled attitude only growing more legitimate with age. There are a couple of over-earnest missteps, but Connect shows they're a lot more than triple j contest winners or a surprise viral video sensation. They've got something to say, and say it best loud.
