Purple Sneakers has teamed up with emerging photographer Joseph Crackett of ONLY ODD to hand pick and shoot some of the hottest artists performing at this year’s BIGSOUND. The series, titled #SHOTFORSNEAKERS, focuses on Purple Sneakers and Only Odd’s shared passion of emerging artists. Over the coming weeks we’ll be revealing selections from the shoots, shot by Joseph in Brisbane’s Winn Lane.

2018 has felt like a transformative year for the Brisbane-based indie-pop artist. With a new approach to her sound and a clear creative vision, it feels like this really is the beginning of something huge for her.
'Too High To Cry' is a powerful slice of dark pop that marries her sweet, soaring vocals with an emotionally charged message. She followed up the release of the single with an incredibly apt clip that was both thoughtful and portrayed the message within the track in such a way that it feels so genuine and authentic.
She followed this up with a massive performance at BIGSOUND this year, and has set herself on a strong trajectory for 2019. And the exciting thing is, Austen's only getting started.
