Purple Sneakers has teamed up with emerging photographer Joseph Crackett of ONLY ODD to hand pick and shoot some of the hottest artists performing at this year’s BIGSOUND. The series, titled #SHOTFORSNEAKERS, focuses on Purple Sneakers and Only Odd’s shared passion of emerging artists. Over the coming weeks we’ll be revealing selections from the shoots, shot by Joseph in Brisbane’s Winn Lane.

Australia is undeniably having a pop moment right now, and Kota Banks is absolutely at the forefront. Having joined the NLV RECORDS family, she uses her deep-rooted pop influences from an early age to her advantage while combining her talent with the sheer force that is SWICK to create some of the forward-thinking pop music in, well, ever. One part avant-garde, one part all-out banger, all parts so damn fun, Kota Banks and Swick are one of the most exciting duos in pop music since Charli XCX teamed up with AG COOK. Her mixtape, PRIZE, is seeing a long-lasting impact -much longer than pop music might have experienced in the past- and we still really get the feeling she's only just getting started.
