"Scorpions are a little afraid of letting go of the past."

More Scorpions More Scorpions

You either remember Scorpions for their ‘80s peak that produced hits like Rock Me Like A Hurricane, or those really screwed-up album covers, or both.

Either way, they’ve been releasing albums pretty consistently – apparently to fill a much-needed void in the German hair-metal category – with middling success. Judging by this and their penchant for leather pants, Scorpions are a little afraid of letting go of the past. Huge, crunchy riffs coupled with acoustic strumming? Check. A complete lack of irony? Check. If you’re starving for this kind, it’s worth a look-in. Otherwise, you’ve heard this before.
