Clearly hailing from a musical background, Belle takes the audience on her journey, with each Scarlet Letter detailing a time in her life of sexual exploration, and the ensuing songs and stories tell a brutally honest, raw and emotional tale of discovery. Her intense and emotive storytelling is fresh and humorous on the surface, but delve deeper and there's some important themes in this show about sex, love, women and society as a whole. And it's not often an excerpt from Star Wars or a hand puppet is made sexy — but Belle manages to do just that.
