"Despite the hipster criticism that is sure to follow this band, this is a worthwhile and, at times, rather exciting album."

More Saintseneca More Saintseneca

Foot-stompin' folk-rockers Saintseneca seemed damned to always lie on the outside of indie popularity looking in – but this doesn't mean Dark Arc isn't a great listen. Much of the appeal comes in the unpacking of singer Zac Little's lyrics, which are never quite as catchy as the band may hope, but ultimately more rewarding because of it. This is Syd Barrett-esque psych-folk done with the energy and aplomb of a modern indie-rock band. Despite the hipster criticism that is sure to follow this band, this is a worthwhile and, at times, rather exciting album.
