Album Review: Run The Jewels - Run The Jewels 2

StarStarStarStar

"Really good."

More Run The Jewels Run The Jewels

This album is almost as good as most critics have made it out to be, and that’s saying something. El-P and Killer Mike, in this second iteration of their unlikely partnership, have returned with better chemistry, more Meth-and-Red style line swapping, and equally good beats.

Blockbuster Night Part 1 bounces along happily. Close Your Eyes (And Count To Fuck) – in one of the most improbable events in the history of music – instantly restores Rage Against The Machine frontman Zach de la Rocha to relevance. Between all that there is paranoia, there are shots fired at fakers of every kind, and there’s lots and lots of fun. Really good.
