He’s one of the hosts of FBi Radio’s Future Face and he’s also an incredibly talented producer.
He goes by the name of ROLEO, and he most definitely knows his way around Sydney. From playing at the World Bar to One Day Sundays, he’s made his way around the traps, and dare I say, most definitely knows his shit.
His latest single is in the form of ‘Headnod Shit’, taken from his new beat tape titled ‘Binge Beats Volume Three’.
The track itself is a definite homage to hip-hop. With a syncopated synth pulsing over the crisp percussion, it’s a cool combination of the old and the new, an homage to history and a definite hat tip to progression.
There are cool samples dotted throughout that remind us of the inspiration origins.
Roleo’s continuing his streak of incredibly well-informed beats with this single. And it’s definite that he’s onto something.
