Album Review: Rob Hirst And Sean Sennett - Crashing The Same Car Twice

Former Oils drummer Rob Hirst likes keeping busy and here teams up with old mate Sean Sennett for a neat slice of old-school garage rock.

Sennett, a Brisbane music journo by day, and Hirst know a thing or two about melody and when they nail it, on Call To Arms, She's A Beautiful Girl and B Is For Bright Light, this album seriously soars. Each song delivers a wicked bridge but sometimes the verse/chorus leading to that point plods and feels somewhat dated. When they get it right, this album's perfect for a loud, good time.
