Offering everything from reflective sonic pieces to absolute dance floor rippers, UK dance duo RIDDIM COMMISSION have teamed up with the almighty SINDEN to assemble 'Africa'.

Appropriately titled, the bellowing but sharp percussion pays homage to Afrobeats styles that are slowly but surely making their way into the club scene. A far more warped and undoubtedly electro approach to the genre, 'Africa' will put you in a trance.

Uncommon, the song lacks climax and does not metamorphose into much more than its original framework. But this decision is delightfully welcomed. The requirement of a full throttled drop comes only as a result of a song's mellowed moments. These moments do not come in 'Africa', instead Riddim Commission and Sinden provide five minutes of full sound, rich with gusto.

The balmy beats are an interesting collision of genre and location. The repetitious grooves pertain for carefree background music, whereas the pacing percussion places the song in the underground club scene.

'Africa' is one of Riddim Commission's three track EP Shells, out now via Bullet Train Records. A collaborative effort, in addition to Sinden's hefty offerings, European producer LEON LOUR also offers his two cents with 'Beggin', the less ambient, more punchy counterpart. Riddim Commission are preparing to launch their debut album, set to be released in early 2017.
