Album Review: Remi - Call It What You Want (F.Y.G ACT: 2)

StarStarStar

"You could’ve selected songs of that stature and managed to leave Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds alone."

Hey Remi. Stay away from Tool.

It’s already bad enough bands are trying (and failing) to cover them, let alone destroying the audio for the soul purpose of having recognisable hooks on a mixtape. Yeah the point of a mixtape (remaining open-minded towards the hip hop world) may be to steal/sample other people’s songs, hanging ten on another artists’ coat tails, but you could’ve selected songs of that stature and managed to leave Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds alone. That said, the Radiohead sample on Weirdos (From Planet Hob) isn’t bad.
