Album Review: Pretty City - Colorize

StarStarStarStarHalf Star

"This album cries out to be played in full."

More Pretty City Pretty City

Melbourne psychedelic trio Pretty City have pulled out all the stops on their phenomenal debut album, Colorize. From the two opening tracks, Melt and Running Around, the band's first LP hits the ground running with tremendous force.

Colorize covers genres such as ambient, experimental and shoegaze, but what's truly astounding is how perfectly the album progresses. There is a clear logic behind the track listing, which ties together the flawless album. This album cries out to be played in full, start to finish, and the payoff for doing so makes for something even greater than the sum of its parts.
