Nocturnal Tapes have created a brand new track for us all to revel in and it looks like their sound has evolved quite a bit since their last release.
If you haven't heard NOCTURNAL TAPES' track 'Pattern' I seriously insist you get onto it. You done? Okay I'll continue. The New South Wales duo released 'Pattern' a while back and are now known to inject some very funky accents into their electronic masterpieces. Nocturnal Tapes have created a brand new track for us all to revel in and it looks like their sound has evolved quite a bit since their last release.
The new track 'Pieces' is a lot darker than 'Pattern', but still holds onto the signature tones of funk that Nocturnal Tapes have become associated with. As soon as the track opens, there are some brooding synths that trickle through the lighter samples and once the vocals begin, things start to get a little sexy.
The song finds it's groove very quickly and soon erupts into a great chorus. The beat keeps everything together whilst synths seem to fly across the vocals similar to the way stage lights do during a live show. You could even picture 'Pieces' being performed when you hear it because it's the kind of track that just feels like it should be presented on a stage.
