Powerman 5000
In a world where the louder music gets the more bands tend to take themselves just a little too seriously, it's great to have Powerman 5000. While Rob Zombie makes soundtracks for the greatest neo-slasher movies never made, Powerman 5000 concern themselves with scoring the kind of mind-blowing, steam punk, action sci-fi masterpieces just too amazing and balls-out crazy to ever be captured on film. This album doesn't sound like songs waiting to be listened to. It sounds like each one will inevitably burst out of your speakers whether you press play or not.
