What promises to be a 'dance infused murder mystery of Perez proportions' ends up a messy and largely unaffecting show. Poorly chosen victims of parody such as Iggy Azalea and manspreading ensure that the show will be irrelevant too soon, and the bizarre facing-the-audience set up removes any potential for engaging with the themes of the show. There are some laughs, and an obvious amount of musical/performance talent, but POP|PRESS is largely forgettable.
