There’s much to love about this album but essentially Plastikman’s song remains the same.
Respected old school producer Richie Hawtin revives his Plastikman moniker after 11 years with an album of new material that was presented live at a special one-off event at the Guggenheim. Hawtin delivers a collection of dark true school minimal techno that brings together 808 and 909 drum machines, 303 acid and sombre synth pads. Hawtin's production is pristine and designed for use on a massive PA where it has the opportunity to create a completely immersive listening experience without necessarily bothering about dancefloor devastation. There's much to love about this album but essentially Plastikman's song remains the same.
