Paul Foot: Kenny Larch Is Dead

"You should make a point of seeing this spectacle soon before Foot’s head explodes from the pressure exerted by the plethora of disjointed ideas which spew from within."

Meanwhile, at the Astor Lounge, Paul Foot provokes peals of uncontrollable laughter from the audience in the packed auditorium by crying onto a punter's semi-erection. Foot's style of comedy is an unusual one to say the least. He flits between indefinite anecdotes with no apparent purpose and increasingly loud and rambling stories culminating in Foot grabbing handfuls of his mullet while rocking himself, or screaming into his microphone at members of the audience, at close range, while standing on a chair. With reactions ranging from blank stares and gaping to crying and cachinnation, this odd little Englishman delivers a show which is hard to forget and, at times, even harder to follow. You should make a point of seeing this spectacle soon before Foot's head explodes from the pressure exerted by the plethora of disjointed ideas which spew from within.
