PallbearerIf Deafheaven brought black metal to the mainstream, Little Rock's Pallbearer are about to do the same for doom.
Having earned rave reviews for their first two LPs, Heartless takes the band to the next level. First off, don't worry true believers, they haven't sold out to hipster interests. Yes, some of the prog influences the band have been talking about are here (the earthy jamming on I Saw The End and the reflective sections in Lie Of Survival come to mind). But, for the most part, Heartless is elegant and shimmering doom. If anything, the slightly faster pace of the records will set heads banging even more furiously. Pallbearer are three for three: worship the riff.
