Dripping with soul and psychedelic grooves, Valles Marineris is a clear push forward from Palace Of The King in clear terms of their production, energy and arrangement.

The prevalence of keyboards helps jack up the colourful vibes of this record, with the product sounding like a wicked hybrid between The Doors, Airbourne, Led Zeppelin and AC/DC. The originality in tracks such as Let The Blood Run Free and Empire Of The Sun show that Palace Of The King have evolved from their solid yet conventional debut to become something ultimately fresh and invigorating to listen to.
