It's a good thing Mikey Perry describes his side project Paces as 'quiet music that I can show my mother', as I'm not sure that she would approve of some of the antics he gets up to in his other life in party-duo Surecut Kids. He's just put out a free EP on the web featuring a whole swag of indie remixes.
Soulful is probably the best way to describe what Perry has put together here; laced with delicate strings and held together with drums from that MPC that we've seen in so many of Surecut's viral videos. Are the days of Mikey dressing up as a human-sized vagina on Youtube over? I sure hope not.
