With his electro-indie-nutjob duo Mulder on 'permanent hiatus', Owen Rabbit's relocation from Perth to Melbourne has seen him get even moodier.
This generously loaded EP (eight tracks - ELP?) delivers claustrophobic electronica and spacious atmospherics in equal measure. The magic comes with a fastidious attention to detail, everything written and performed by Rabbit himself. If nightcrawlers solemnly cracked Coke cans as a final mating call, Pyramid Power would be the result. Rabbit trembles with palpable vulnerability in Oh My God, and brings to question if this much punch is managed solo, imagine what he could do with a full band?
