Meraki is a city to get lost in, a drive through modern technologic marvels built on retro foundations.

Meraki, the new album from Kiwi-born, Australian-based glitch-hop producer and vowel-lover Opiuo, is the sonic manifestation of an angry pimp slapping a broke john upside the head for trying to take a run at his girl. Dangerous, violent and sexy electronica pumps throughout, while old-school '80s synth tones light up the dark beats like neon street lights. The undertones are dark and gritty, while on the surface lies this smooth sheen of polished samples and drifting melodies. Meraki is a city to get lost in, a drive through modern technologic marvels built on retro foundations.
