Odesza ProfileSeattle’s Odesza return with their second album In Return, a record overflowing with positive vibes and glistening electronics. It’s a radio-friendly release that revels in R&B-inflected grooves and has a fair crack at a club anthem.
It makes a strong impression, but doesn’t linger too long, as most of the ideas and sounds that fly around are clearly cribbed from better peers like Autre Ne Veut or Bonobo. That said, there are plenty of details to explore, and it’s eager to please. It’s loaded with hooks and chubby kick beats that massage the ears nicely.
