Ocean GroveBlack Label is not a masterpiece from start to finish, but there are some mightily impressive sections on the EP that nod towards future consistency for Ocean Grove, as it’s always the heaviest moment of each song that eclipses the meat of the compositions.
The drumming and production are nice and tight while the use of dynamics is where the band are strongest. Standout songs are B.L.U.D. and You Know Something We Don’t?. It’s high-energy and of course a lot of fun, these songs designed to get people moving.
