"Husky, reverb-drenched vocals and a blissed-out beach rock vibe reign."
This indie pop-rock three-piece certainly live up to their moniker.
The Sydneysiders lament all things star-crossed love and relationships on their debut EP, where husky, reverb-drenched vocals and a blissed-out beach rock vibe reign. Jessica Mincher's less-tinkered-with-but-just-as-tragedy-filled Lana Del Ray-esque pout serves the troupe well throughout, especially on Just Like Honey, where she dips and lilts above hazy guitars and a clean beat, and also on the waltzing title track amid its moody slides. It's a standout debut and one that's destined to be a summer soundtrack as much as the trio is destined for bigger and brighter things.
