MOODYMANN surprised fans last week with the news that not only did he had a new song out, but a new album is on the way as well. Released in time for the fee-waiving at Bandcamp which saw a record $7.1million spent in just 24 hours on the site, Moodymann shared his smooth-as-hell new jam titled 'Do Wrong', and announced his new record on social media with the caption "Oh yeah 4got??♂️... newLP.. click link?"
Titled Taken Away, what we know so far is the record is comprised of eight tracks and is set for release May 21st via his own label, KDJ. Taken Away follows on from his 2019 record, Sinner, and with 'Do Wrong' hitting all the right spots for us, we're pretty confident we're in for a treat.
'Do Wrong' is a four and a half minute groove and samples the soul classic, First Choice’s 'Love & Happiness.' It's available now via Moodymann's Bandcamp.
