Something about Ned Collette's voice makes you want to curl up in a ball on the couch with a loved one in a safe, happy room. There's a security in his delivery and tone. Sure, it might not be unique or have the 'wow' factor other singer-songwriters do, but he uses it well within his own limits, making the most of every syllable. Networking In Purgatory showcases the Melburnian in all his glory, backed by Wirewalker, whose own take on lo-fi folk is worth the price of this (digital/vinyl only) release alone.
