Live Review: MP3: Velociraptor - Sleep With The Fishes

Purple Sneakers has been given an exclusive free download of the brand new Velociraptor track ‘Sleep With the Fishes’.

Purple Sneakers has been given an exclusive free download of the brand new VELOCIRAPTOR track ‘Sleep With the Fishes’. The song has a 1960’s-surf-garage vibe and commands that you attempt a sloppy version of the twist while listening. It is raucous, fun and noisy. Featuring seven guitarists, two drummers, a tambourine player and twelve voices VELOCIRAPTOR are proving that more is merrier (and louder).

Yes - they are actually a twelve piece! With its extensive membership base, the group have taken 1950’s – 60’s big band, ripped it up and amplified the shreds. The beauty of being such a large posse is that VELOCIRAPTOR can bring their own party wherever they go. Not to mention, it is quite an impressive feat fitting twelve people on stage without impaling each other on guitar necks and drumsticks.

It is hard to tell from the rustic lo-fi recording of ‘Sleep With the Fishes’ what VELOCIRAPTOR will sound like live but you can imagine that it will be louder, just as dirty and pumped with all kinds of crazy energy.
