Album Review: Money - The Shadow Of Heaven

While there’s enough here to warrant many repeat listens, word on the street is Money’s live shows are something else altogether.

Both haunting and beautiful, The Shadow Of Heaven is an impressive debut LP from Mancunian four-piece, Money. Fusing the emotion and jagged guitars of Foals with the introspective curiosity of multi-layered instrumentation a la Sigur Ros, the record is a ten-track slow-burner, one that takes the best part of an hour to sweep across the hills and valleys of the aural landscape. They make art with their words, sounds and brooding energy. But while there's enough here to warrant many repeat listens, word on the street is Money's live shows are something else altogether.
