“It's Such A Trap”: Meg Mac Refuses To Be Another Tragic Tale On 'It's My Party'

Album Review: Mercury Sky - Infra

"With 'Infra', they enter a brand new musical realm."

This Sydney band released their debut EP a few years back, and it came across as a very solid, accessible version of the distinctive Aussie alt/progressive sound.

With Infra, they enter a brand new musical realm. That Aussie sound is still absolutely there, it's just that this time around they have taken great pains to inject elements that make that sound completely their own, elements that weren't necessarily there last time. There is a more adventurous, even experimental vibe to the music, while still maintaining that sweetly ear-pleasing edge (much of which emanates from the magical voice of frontman Kay Thatch).

Infra is yet another superb entry into the Aussie alt/prog canon.
