For this year’s Fringe Festival, Multicultural Arts Victoria ran a forum and workshop session facilitating the exploration of cultural diversity in Australia. Righteous: Rights At The Round Table was a credit to the work of MVA as the discussion panel was frank yet respectful, two facets rarely present in discussions of race in Australia, and the workshops were inclusive, engaging and demonstrated both the importance of diverse voices and the range of accessible forms – such as zines and spoken word – that can be used to project those voices.
