"She ended the show smiling ear to ear after her crowd surfing adventure, leaving the crowd clapping and whistling with delight."
With a ten-man band, Timothy Nelson & The Infidels kicked off the night with Soldier.
Timothy Nelson’s vocals were outstanding, hitting all the notes in all the right places. With some band members in other states playing gigs, Nelson had a few fill ins who nailed the job on songs like Mary Lou and Inside My Head. They concluded an exceptional set with Born In The 90s.
The stage was set up like a scene from an ‘80s prom night with tinsel, disco balls and heart-shaped balloons. Megan Washington stepped on stage with her suited up backing band, launching this prom with Holy Moses.
Her vocals were flawless performing The Hardest Part; the first half the show was energetic as Washington found her freedom to play around on stage as she now had a keyboard player to play her parts. The room was hot, making Washington work up a sweat from all her dancing. She performed songs from There There and her past releases, her vocals faultless throughout the set; however, an emotional rendition of Begin Again showcased her incredible vocal ability best. Her solo performances were the highlight of the set, as they showed her raw talent with no distractions and overpowering instruments. She ended the set with How To Tame Lions and crowd pleaser Sunday Best.

Minutes later she strode back onto stage for an encore with a moving cover of Kanye West’s Runaway. The show became more intimate when Washington jumped off stage to dance with the crowd during a few songs, even plucking a handful of audience members from the crowd to dance on stage to Rich Kids. Before the last song, she contemplated if she should crowd surf for the first time. Sounding nervous, Washington took the plunge into the sea of hands that carried her around the room. She ended the show smiling ear to ear after her crowd surfing adventure, leaving the crowd clapping and whistling with delight.
