Eximo is musical art at its finest – Dirt Story Howl one of the most beautiful songs you’ll hear this year.

McKisko music is solitary music – the kind that sounds best with the sensory skews of the night. In Helen Franzmann's sophomore record, warmth comes with a greater sense of her voice as an instrument, and of the privileged invitation into a private world of self-exploration. With repeat listens, Eximo's unhurried layers reveal bed frame percussion, strings emulating bird cries and embellishments thoughtfully placed among sparse and divinely constructed piano and guitar-based compositions. Eximo is musical art at its finest – Dirt Story Howl one of the most beautiful songs you'll hear this year.
