There's balloons... and whistles.
Mark Watson is a cross between a nervous teenager and a crazed middle-aged man.
Watson's back is hunched, he speaks very quickly, his voice breaks and he paces quickly from one side of the stage to the other. But it all works really well and he gets the audience on side quickly with his well-polished show. He tells some very personal stories of his journey through alcoholism, anxiety and depression and manages to make these serious topics both funny and less taboo. Throw in some impressive non-scripted jokes and audience participation with loudly-popping balloons and blowing whistles and Watson makes a lasting impression.
