Maribelle is punching through the electronic pop genre with her latest track ‘Overtake’.
The multitalented singer/songwriter/producer is set to release her debut EP, Overtake, from which she has plucked the new single.
The 21-year-old talent delivers some tropical synths in the beginning of the track, creating a sound that’s completely in line with today's electronic music. You can definitely hear a little LDRU influence too, which comes as no surprise thanks to their mammoth ‘On Fire’ collaboration as CARMADA last year, but she adds her own personality as the chorus jumps into a catchy synthesised pop beat.
Alongside her fresh production style, her vocals are definitely a highlight on the track; her refreshing falsetto voice shining through with warm beams of light that radiate with confidence throughout the track.
The young Melbourne gal has been pretty busy, racking up an impressive portfolio of Carmada and Penthouse Penthouse collaborations alongside supporting Kaytranada on his upcoming Australian tour, and after hearing this we're pretty confident she's not going anywhere but up any time soon!
