"A genuinely unique and interesting record that absolutely demands repeat listens."

More Major Leagues More Major Leagues

With their new EP Dream States Major Leagues have skilfully have avoided cliched pop tropes and created a genuinely unique and interesting record that absolutely demands repeat listens.

Opener Raymond Carver has an upbeat rhythm, jangly guitar line and the band's signature droll yet melodic vocals. The hypnotic sway of the fuzzy guitar melody of Someone Sometime is the perfect backdrop to the vocal harmonies, and Better Off is led by a catchy bass line. Making pop music is one thing, but successfully producing a clever pop record is a whole other challenge entirely, though it's one that Major Leagues have surpassed with apparent ease.
